A Look Back at 2016 - and Ahead to a Great 2017!

In an age when print and digital communications change so rapidly, commercial printers can't afford to sit still.

We certainly don't.

Print-Tech Inc. is committed to improving our services and increasing our capabilities so our customers continue to get the best our industry has to offer. That being said, we want to share with you our major improvements in 2016, plus a look at what we're planning for 2017.

Major Improvements in 2016
  • One key indicator of growth is sales volume, and we are proud to report that once again, Print-Tech Inc. had another
record-breaking year in sales. Our company's financial stability should make you even more confident in your partnership with us.

  • We acquired First Impression Printing. This was and continues to be a successful and seamless integration of employees and enhanced printing services.
  • Based on our acquisition of First Impression, we have expanded both our customer service and our prepress staff. This expansion benefits all of our customers.
  • We greatly expanded our wide-format services. Years ago, only specialty printers offered wide-format. Print-Tech has invested in new printing equipment that is ideal for this market. We can produce pretty much any oversize banner, wall graphic, yard sign, or POS (Point of Sale) materials you need.
  • Last year, we had two major equipment upgrades. We invested in three new

Canon digital presses and a new Duplo booklet maker. The presses print at twice the resolution of those they are replacing, and they also give us the ability to print envelopes and the six-page format digitally. The booklet maker brings us increased efficiencies through greater speed and larger dimension capabilities.
  • We earned our G7 Master re-qualification from IDEAlliance.Print-Tech remains one of a tiny group of commercial printers (only 15 in Michigan) who adhere to a global set of color standards - the highest in the industry. We have been qualified since 2009 and undergo a rigorous re-qualification process annually, which is not just a financial investment but also involves an official review of our facility and processes by a Certified G7 Expert.

Looking Ahead to 2017

We have big plans for this year to expand our capabilities and strengthen our customer relationships.
  • We now offer digital envelopes. More and more customers are producing digital jobs, and matching, personalized envelopes are important for many campaigns.
  • Textured stocks are here for digital.

  • Better imaging technology will help eliminate banding and will reduce color variations job to job.

  • We've started exploring the idea of creating a customer council. This will provide a forum for regular interactions with a small group of Print-Tech customers, allowing us to hear first-hand what your business issues and challenges are.

  • Expanding our variable capabilities is in the works for 2017 as well. The more personalized your campaigns, the more effective they'll be.

  • We're planning a new online storefront and customer portal. When we roll it out, we'll share easy "how-to" tips to make it convenient and effortless for you to access and use.

Serving our customers by improving and expanding our capabilities is something we take seriously. Our investments are guided by this philosophy.

We'd love to hear your thoughts!
